Book becomes very unpleasant on Kindle and it is very hard to read since you need to go from one page to see the symbol and go back to read about it and its details. This is the only “dream” reference book I have ever found useful because you can discover the diiferences between symbolss Celtic, Christian, Judaic.
And, as she wonders grumpily, “Did romance have to be part of the adventure? The images really add extra quality to the book. I suppose we can always google to see what it is, but it would be way nicer to have it in the book and see what image the author thought should convey an entry. WHAT an insight into the pseudo-science of symbols, as they encyclopaevia been used throughout the human ages!!

My library Help Advanced Book Search. From a country’s flag, which can signify more than patriotism, to a illustraed bracelet, with its ‘portable memories’, symbolism takes various forms. This books is really cool and thorough, though I do wish that there were more illustrations. Without a knowledge of symbolism, you are, in effect, illiterate before art and religion. Also some facinating, if small, illustraions.
